List

Finding out I was gonna die was by far the most exciting and disturbingly frightening moment of my entire existence. Waking up in the hospital and not knowing where I was was probably in the top five, and seeing my ever so present father sitting in the folded chair next to the bed I was lying on was absolutely in the top ten. Looking over to see tubes sticking out of my left wrist was probably somewhere in the top fifteen, and learning that I hadn't died in a catastrophic concert arena was probably in between nineteen and twenty three.

Keeping a list of memorable moments was what many would call "childish and stupid," but that's exactly what I've been doing since I fell off the monkey bars in second grade and got my first official adult tooth shattered into pieces. I'd say that is most definitely the beginning of my customized roller coaster in the abandoned amusement park that is life.

I wake up to a beeping noise. That's incredibly stereotypical right. So many novels start a chapter with the sound of the heart monitor located next to the ever so courageous protagonist's hospital bed, hooked up to their ever so pure heart. Well, I don't really view myself as a protagonist. That's why I refuse to begin this chapter of my life with an onomatopoeia in Times New Roman italics.
